Reflection:
1 .Blog technology can help to help facilitate communication among and between members of your learning community in many ways. Utilizing a blog in your classroom and teaching can enhance the sense of community of your classroom to both those involved in the day to day operations (teachers, students, parents) but also to the outside world of teacher (i.e. other teachers following your blog). This expands your network and development as a teacher. Blogging provides the teacher an outlet for communication with parents, keeping them up to date on classroom happenings. Learners can also engage in your blog posts or post on their own, which allows the teacher to establish that sense of community with their students as well.
2. Technology like Pinterest can help you, as an educator, build your own professional community network. A site such as Pinterest gives teachers access to a wealth of valuable resources a the click of a "search". The opportunities are endless. Using a site as a means for professional growth gives the educator access to the "experts" and informative resources. In turn, these resources can better their understand of improving their classroom instruction and community, all while sharing in return what valuable experiences are occurring in their own classrooms, thus, creating a community among dedicated educators.
